Dispersion plates

Dispersion plates spread the raw meal across the riser duct so it meets the hot gas evenly. A burnt or eroded plate lets the meal fall as a stream and heat exchange suffers.

Works in
Meal dispersion and splash plates at the meal inlets of preheater riser ducts.
Industries
Cement
Materials
Heat-resistant steel
Size
Single pieces from 3 kg to 7 tonnes, to drawing
Supplied
As cast, or machined to drawing
Inspection
Chemistry and hardness on every heat; UT, MPI or DPT and a dimensional report as specified
From a worn part
Yes. Send the part or photographs with key dimensions and we will reverse-engineer it

How it fails and what we do about it

  1. 01Erosion by the falling mealGrade and thickness chosen for the meal flow.
  2. 02Heat distortionHeat-resistant steel with ribbed sections.
  3. 03Burn-through at the edgesA higher-alloy type in the hottest riser ducts.

Choosing the grade

Typical values from the governing standards. A metallurgist confirms the grade for your duty with every quotation.

Our grade

Heat-resistant steels

HH or HK type, chosen by gas temperature.

IS 4522 · IS 519 · ASTM A297 · ASTM A447 · EN 10295

What we control

  • Chemistry firstChromium and nickel verified on the spectrometer for every heat and recorded against the casting.
  • Designed to stay straightRibs and sections arranged so the part can expand without warping.
  • Fit-up checkedSegments, hangers and interlocks checked so sets assemble on site without rework.
  • Traceable to the heatEvery casting carries its heat number, with the chemistry report to match.

For a quotation, send any of these

  • Equipment make and model, or the OEM part number
  • Drawing, or the worn part or photographs with key dimensions
  • The grade used today and the life it gives
  • Quantity per set and sets per year
