Wear parts for the feeders, crushers, mills and machines that move ore from the pit to the plant.

In a mine, a liner that fails early costs more in lost tonnes than the part itself. Primary crushers need tough steel that hardens under impact; mills need a balance of toughness and wear; feeders and tracked machines need parts that take both. We cast for each duty and machine where the fit matters.

Stage 1

Feeding and scalping

Apron feeders take the full drop of run-of-mine rock. Grizzlies scalp the fines before the crusher. Parts take impact from falling ore and wear from sliding.

Stage 2

Primary crushing

Jaw and gyratory crushers take run-of-mine rock in heavy, repeated blows. Manganese steel is the standard here because its surface hardens as it is struck.

Stage 3

Secondary and tertiary crushing

Cone crushers reduce ore to mill feed. Liner profile and alloy decide the throughput and how often the crusher stops for a change.

Stage 4

Grinding

Ball mills grind ore under combined impact and abrasion. Liners must lift the charge without breaking. The trunnions carry it all.

Stage 5

Tracked and mobile machines

Shovels, mobile crushers and tracked plant run on cast shoes, wheels and rollers that take impact and abrasion while carrying the machine.
