Cooler conveying elements

Conveying elements push hot clinker from the kiln outlet to the cooler discharge. They work in hot clinker under constant abrasion, so they must hold their shape at temperature and resist wear.

Works in
Clinker coolers: the cast elements that move the clinker bed along the grate.

How it fails and what we do about it

  1. 01Abrasion of the pushing facesGrade chosen zone by zone along the cooler.
  2. 02Distortion in the hot zoneHeat-resistant steel with sections designed to stay straight.
  3. 03Wear at fixingsFixing faces and bores to drawing.

Choosing the grade

Typical values from the governing standards. A metallurgist confirms the grade for your duty with every quotation.

Usual choice

Heat-resistant steels

Hot inlet and recuperation zones.

IS 4522 · IS 519 · ASTM A297 · ASTM A447 · EN 10295

Alternative

Carbon and low-alloy steels

Later zones, where wear rather than heat decides life.

ASTM A27 · ASTM A148 · IS 1030 · IS 2644 · EN 10293

What we control

  • Chemistry firstChromium and nickel verified on the spectrometer for every heat and recorded against the casting.
  • Designed to stay straightRibs and sections arranged so the part can expand without warping.
  • Fit-up checkedSegments, hangers and interlocks checked so sets assemble on site without rework.
  • Traceable to the heatEvery casting carries its heat number, with the chemistry report to match.

For a quotation, send any of these

  • Equipment make and model, or the OEM part number
  • Drawing, or the worn part or photographs with key dimensions
  • The grade used today and the life it gives
  • Quantity per set and sets per year
